Tremere Documents/House Errata/Hints
In Memphis at the current time there are two Tremere chantries. One chantry is located on the U of M campus. This chantry is headed by Delassiel, a rogue Tremere. He serves as the de facto regent of this chantry. Two other Tremere are a part of this chantry and are considered ‘rogues’ from the clan hierarchy. There have been rumors that Delassiel has at least one rogue Gargoyle as part of this chantry. Tremere that remain as a part of the overall pyramid of the clan are not welcome in this chantry.
Regent Janus Restab heads the other chantry. This chantry is located on the grounds of Rhodes College and has been the location of the clan loyal Tremere chantry for almost 100 years. Despite attacks over the decades against this chantry and the complete destruction of the clan by The Thornes in 1929 and again by the Sabbat in 1974 at this location, the clan still maintains the chantry in the same location.
For further information, should you be playing a Tremere, please email the ST staff to discuss your position, which chantry you report to, and the extra Clan Specific information. Thank you.
The ST staff has copies
of every ritual and path available to be possibly taken. Please feel free
to ask for these resources. |
Sources for rituals
& paths: LOTN: 3rd edition, LOTN: Camarilla Guide, LOTN: Sabbat Guide,
LOTN: Storyteller guide, Tremere clan book: 3rd edition, LOTN: 2nd edition
& Laws of Elysium (ONLY for rituals not in any 3rd edition source
book) |
Unless approved by
the ST staff, a Tremere character must start with “Path of Blood”,
“Movement of the Mind”, or “Lure of flame” as
their primary path. Without a character history and a very good reason,
it is unlikely that another path will be approved as a primary path. (But
it is not impossible to have an alternate path as a primary path.) |
Free Rituals: For
each level of a character’s PRIMARY path only, that character receives
a free ritual of the appropriate level. |
Note: All rituals
require ST approval. The ST staff is very aware of what rituals are extremely
powerful and game breaking, and will limit their availability. This is
not to punish the players of characters with thaumaturgy, but to keep
the overall game balanced. No player regardless of experience will be
given any preferential treatment in what rituals their character may learn.
|
XP cost of rituals:
Basic: 2xp, Intermediate: 3xp, Advanced: 5xp. |
A character may have
use of no more than three paths of thaumaturgy. |
Custom/Personal rituals:
In order to create a custom ritual, a character must have at least one
path of thaumaturgy one dot higher than the desired ritual.(Intermediate
for a Beginner Ritual, Advanced for Intermediate Ritual, Advanced Rituals
are case by case.) Creating a custom ritual will take anywhere from two
months to six months to create, depending on the difficulty and complexity
of the ritual. If your character is working within the pyramid structure
of the Tremere clan, creating at least one custom ritual is generally
required to reach the higher circles of mystery. Any character that starts
off with any custom ritual at character creation requires a full audition
of the character. A custom ritual may not be taken as a free ritual. |
Errata
for Rituals |
| Principal Focus of Vitae Infusion: A character may only create one blood pill per evening. A maximum of FIVE blood pills may be attuned to the same key word. A character may keep a maximum of 15 blood pills inside their bodies at a time. Only one keyword may be spoken per round of combat. Triggering a keyword and set of blood pills, is a free action. |
| Bone of Lies: A bone of lies only has two charges, not ten as the book states. Only one bone of lies may be in existence per caster at one time. An attempt to create a second “bone of lies” automatically fails, until the first bone of lies is destroyed, or charges used up. The user of this ritual may choose to have the “bone of lies” he has created, to turn to dust and destroy itself at any time of his choosing with the expenditure of a temporary WP trait and one blood trait. |
| Wards: These changes apply to all wards. The creation of any ward requires the expenditure of a PERMANENT mental trait. All wards inflict aggravated damage to the creature type they are created against. Wards on an object, inflict a level of aggravated damage in addition to any other damage the object or weapon may cause. Bullets and very small objects may not be warded. Wards may be used to enclose a room, or small area. The area enclosed must be between 100 and 250 square feet. In order for a creature to willingly cross any ward that will harm them, they must win two out of three simple tests, attempted once per evening. Crossing a circle ward inflicts two levels of aggravated damage. NOTE: This damage is only inflicted once per crossing. |
| Ward vs. Kindred: This is an advanced ritual, not an intermediate ritual. Deal. |
